2008 Results

On Thursday August 21, 2008 the Carbondale Wild West Rodeo awarded the 2008 series buckles to the first place contestants at the conclusion of our last rodeo of the summer season. The buckles are awarded to the first place competitors, based on the total winnings of the season. As well, to be eligible, they are required to compete in at least 9 of the 12 evenings. Says double buckle winner Jeff Burtard, “This was the best season of the rodeo series so far. The crowds were huge and it was fun to be cheered on by my friends, family and neighbors. Bring on next year!” Lindsey Soucie, the Barrel Racing Buckle winner, who won in 2007 and repeated, again this year, agrees. “The Carbondale rodeo is my favorite. I see my friends here every week and my grandparents were in the stands tonight. They have been here throughout the season, says Lindsay. “It’s a fun rodeo”
