The Black Sheep 4H Club

The County 4-H program is one of the largest in western Colorado. 4-H teaches our youth to become responsible community minded adults, while teaching them business and personal responsibility skills. Many of our youth go on to college and have a wide range of interests. Our program would not be possible without all the support for our community

At WindWalkers, we strive to be a therapeutic riding center of the highest quality dedicated to improving the physical well-being, behavioral development, educational goals and emotional health of clients and families. At the core of our organization is a family-centered approach that recognizes that a challenge or disability affects the individual and impacts every member of the family. WindWalkers uses the movement, power and intuition of horses to enhance lives. We hire North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) certified instructors and adhere to their high standards and guidelines for program quality.

Tom’s Door

Tom’s Door is a local interfaith charity started in September of 2001 with a mission to provide Emergency assistance to those in need from Aspen To Rifle and who have the potential to improve their Quality of life. Through donations and the sale of Seasonal note cards, the program continues to grow, Allowing ever-increasing support within the Community to be met.

Over 50 volunteers contribute photos and do all the work to assemble the handmade cards and sales in the Valley. Each card is an image of our beautiful Roaring Fork Valley and the amazing Wildlife. The cards are sold in 7 churches and 20 retail shops.
